CFMX Google Talk/Jabber problem - Resolved
Everything was working perfectly up until I did an upgrade just before I went on holidays (you think I'd learn).
When I got back from holidays I was determined to get it working - and after a bit of hunting I narrowed the problem down. It was not due to the code updates I had made. I'm 99% sure it was due to a change in the Jabber authentication that Google Talk was using.
It appears that the jabber libraries that ship with CFMX (even 7.0.2) are not up date and didn't support the authentication scheme that Google Talk was now using.
There is a technote on the Adobe site detailing the fix which worked perfectly.
What I find curious though is that this is still a problem in CFMX 7.0.2 when there has been at hotfix for it for CFMX 7.0.0 since 16/Sep/05. For some reason this hotfix has not made it into later versions? Any ideas why?

Thanks again!
Damon
Thanks for the update - looking forward to one less step in my CF setup process - and looking forward to Scorpio.

Tech note says townload smack.jar file , when you download , its a zip file , okey fine when you extract zip file there is a folder and there is no jar file in it ? what to do now ? do you have any idea ?????
A jar file is pretty much a zip file. If it downloaded and opened in winzip or similar then that is fine. If it saves as smack.zip just rename it as smack.jar. It should contain a META-INF folder and some other bits.
Hope that helps.

SMS gateway works fine but not XMPP.
Do you get any error messages? What do you mean by not working? Any more info and I'll do what I can to help.
